On the symmetry of b-functions of linear free divisors

چکیده
We introduce the concept of a prehomogeneous determinant as a possibly nonreduced version of a linear free divisor. Both are special cases of prehomogeneous vector spaces. We show that the roots of the b-function are symmetric about −1 for reductive prehomogeneous determinants and for regular special linear free divisors. For general prehomogeneous determinants, we describe conditions under which this symmetry persists. Combined with Kashiwara’s theorem on the roots of b-functions, our symmetry result shows that −1 is the only integer root of the b-function. This gives a positive answer to a problem posed by Castro-Jiménez and Ucha-Enŕıquez in the above cases. We study the condition of strong Euler homogeneity in terms of the action of the stabilizers on the normal spaces. As an application of our results, we show that the logarithmic comparison theorem holds for reductive linear Koszul free divisors exactly if they are strongly Euler homogeneous.

ON b-FUNCTIONS OF LINEAR FREE DIVISORS
We describe b-functions of linear free divisors and use these results to prove that the logarithmic comparison theorem holds for Koszul free reductive linear free divisors exactly if they are (strongly) Euler homogeneous.
متن کاملA remark on the means of the number of divisors
We obtain the asymptotic expansion of the sequence with general term $frac{A_n}{G_n}$, where $A_n$ and $G_n$ are the arithmetic and geometric means of the numbers $d(1),d(2),dots,d(n)$, with $d(n)$ denoting the number of positive divisors of $n$. Also, we obtain some explicit bounds concerning $G_n$ and $frac{A_n}{G_n}$.
متن کاملOn convolution properties for some classes of meromorphic functions associated with linear operator
In this paper, we defined two classes $S_{p}^{ast }(n,lambda ,A,B)$ and\ $ K_{p}(n,lambda ,A,B)$ of meromorphic $p-$valent functions associated with a new linear operator. We obtained convolution properties for functions in these classes.
متن کاملBase Point Free Theorems —saturation, B-divisors, and Canonical Bundle Formula—
We reformulate the Kawamata-Shokurov base point free theorem by using the notion of b-divisors and saturation of linear systems, which was introduced by Shokurov. Combining the refined Kawamata-Shokurov base point free theorem with Ambro’s canonical bundle formula, we quickly reprove the main theorem of Kawamata’s paper: Pluricanonical systems on minimal algebraic varieties, without using the n...

In this paper Lie point symmetries, Hamiltonian equations and conservation laws of general three-dimensional anisotropic non-linear sourceless heat transfer equation are investigated. First of all Lie symmetries are obtained by using the general method based on invariance condition of a system of differential equations under a prolonged vector field. Then the structure of symmetry ...
